Willie Mae Payne

Willie Mae Payne, 85, of Cleveland, departed this life on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at her residence. She was born on July 28, 1934 to the late Lizzie and William Stewart in Cleveland and spent 25 years in Ohio. She moved back to Bradley County in 1984. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening, camping and spending time with her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.C. Payne; her daughter, Connie Harris; and her two sisters, Katherine Tippens and Louse Phillips.

She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Payne of Cleveland and Teresa (Gary) Shutt of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Alicia Coaxum, Daniel Parsons, Robin Redman and Christina Harris; six great grandchildren, Jakobi Coaxum, Austin and Sadie Parsons, Zach, Zander and Kaitlyn Redman and several extended family members and friends.

A celebration of life and home going will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2020 in the Mark Grissom Memorial Chapel at Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home with the Reverend Joe Brooks officiating. Interment will follow at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
