Vennie Kirkland

Vennie “Lenderman” Kirkland, age 87, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 after a brief illness. She was the baby girl of a family with ten brothers and sisters. She was an avid fan of the outdoors, an animal lover and enjoyed fishing. She loved cooking and getting together with the family for the holidays.

She was quiet, personal, and reserved in her relationships, but was the matriarch of the family.

Preceded in death by husband, Fletcher Kirkland; life-long friend, Kenneth Dale; parents, David and Rosha Lenderman; sisters, Alma, Gladis, Maurice; brothers, G.W, T.C., Herbert; nephew, Raymond; and niece, Louise.

Survivors include son, David Hyde of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Betty; granddaughter, Angela Gibson; grandson, Cole “Brianna” Hyde; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Dru Gibson, Brian and Bo Hyde; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 14, 2020 Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Mickey Clark officiating, interment will follow Coker Creek Cemetery. Family will receive friends 11:00a.m. - 1:00p.m. prior to the service.
