Rosemary Poston

Rosemary Poston, 93, of Cleveland passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 at home with family. She was born December 31, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Joseph and Rose Martin Russell. After retiring from AT&T, she moved to Cleveland, and lived the past 35 years in Bradley County. She graduated from Cleveland State University with an Associate’s Degree, and was a very active member of St. Therese of Lisieux. She was one of the founders of the New Hope Pregnancy Center and was very active in the pro-life movement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Poston; grandson, Kevin Miller; son-in-law, Jim Miller; and infant son, Michael Magnus.

Survivors include her four children, Louise Miller and Carol Magnus of Cleveland, Daniel Magnus of Novato, California and Rosemarie Swisher (Michael) of Hampton, Virginia; four grandchildren, Eric Miller (Tabatha), Karen Perez (Victor), Aileen Jones (Greg), Katherine Morgan (Eric); seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Anne Twitchell of Walnut Creek, California; and several extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home. Rosary Service will follow at 7:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 28, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.
