Martin Andrew Dider

Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Martin Andrew Dider of Collegedale, Tennessee, was born in Elkhart, Indiana on December 12, 1938 and died October 25, 2019. He was 80 years old.  He was proceeded in death by his parents, Ruth Elizabeth Martin Dider and Glen Everett Dider.  He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Edna Geraldine Bond Dider; his son, Martin A Dider II; his daughters, Sonya Leigh Dillard and Dawn Lynea Clonts and grandchildren Krista Rae Dawn Dillard and Alex Thomas Clonts.  He was a member of the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Mr. Dider excelled in athletics and science in high school and graduated from Andrews University in math and chemistry.  After teaching school for a number of years, he and his family moved to Collegedale in 1983.  He was known throughout the community by his smile and cheerful disposition.  He always abided by Boy Scout Law #8 – Be Cheerful.

Graveside Services will be at 4p.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Collegedale Memorial Park with Pastor Duane Schoonard officiating. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
