Margaret Ruth Stephenson Guess

Margaret Ruth Stephenson Guess, age 88, passed away February 28, 2021 at her home. She loved tending to her garden and canning. She was a fun loving person with a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed sewing during her lifetime. She worked for probably every sewing factory in McMinn County. Later in life she worked for Hospice in Cleveland before retiring to McMinn County, where she was a life-long resident – working at Willow Acres and Morning Pointe Assisted Living until she retired.

Preceded in death by parents, James and Willie Stephenson; brothers, Bill Stephenson and Alvin Stephenson; sister, Mary Sue Amen; infant son, Stephen Guess and grandson, Brian Calfee.

Survivors include daughter, Katherine Guess of Etowah; grandson, Kody (Angel) Calfee of Sweetwater; granddaughter, Niki Bullington of Charleston; 4 great grandchildren, Blake Bullington, Gator Calfee, Mason Calfee and Bella Calfee; sister, Royestine Stephenson Wyatt Wilmington, N.C.; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
