Jerry Wayne Mitchell

Jerry Wayne Mitchell, 84, of Harrison passed away March 1^st, 2024, at a local hospital.  

He served in the US Coast guard where he retired and then worked for the Chattanooga Police department where he also retired. Jerry enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his daughter, Carla Poindexter and son in law, Rodney Poindexter; grandchildren, Erica Nelson, Alanda Gordie and Ricky Nelson;

seven great grandchildren and his life partner of 50 years, Jane Jones.

A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 17^th, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Sequatchie County, located at 86, US-127, Signal Mountain, TN.  37377.

Arrangements are entrusted to Poole – Serenity Funeral Home & Cremation Services to oversee the arrangements.
