Gelene Burgner

 Gelene Burgner, age 78 of Charleston, passed away on Wednesday morning, December 5, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. Born on August 27, 1940 to the late James Chester and Lula Mae Kibble Stephens, She was a native and lifelong resident of Bradley County and of the Methodist Faith. She enjoyed playing the piano and spending time with her family and friends.

 IN addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Ben Stephens; and first husband, Bill Burgner.

Survivors include her sons, Shawn Burgner of Charleston and Brent ( Paula) Burgner of Cleveland; granddaughter, Amanda Mooney of Tunnel Hill, Georgia; sisters, Doris Chittenden and Barbara (Delbert) Bramlett  both of Cleveland; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A Gathering of Friends will be held from 5-8p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

 Interment will be private.
