Evelyn Brooks Morgan

Evelyn Brooks Morgan, age 89, of Cleveland, departed this life on Saturday evening, December 7, 2019 at her home. Born on December 4, 1930 in Decatur, Tennessee to the late William and Georgia Brooks, she lived a majority of her life in Bradley County and was of the Church of God faith. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Morgan; son, Tommy Morgan; sister, Margaret Ferguson; and brother, J.L. Brooks.

She is survived by her children, Leon Morgan of Cleveland, Judy Morgan of Cleveland, and Joan Howard of Trenton, Georgia; and grandchildren, Brian Morgan, Tina Crisp, Lisa Crisp, Lora Houts, Jason Morgan, and Justin Morgan. Seven great-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family also survive.

A Celebration of Life and Home going will be held at 1p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5-8p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the funeral home.
