Eleanor Jones

Eleanor Jane Hackney Jones, 76, passed away at her home Friday, July 21, 2023. She lived in Cleveland her entire life.  She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church. She worked for many years for the Employment Office, she also worked at Walmart and did taxes for 34 years. She loved traveling with her family, and adored her cat Lover.

She was preceded in death by her parents James Walker Hackney and Gladys Lawson Hackney.

She is survived by her son Paul Jones of Cleveland; several cousins also survive. 

There will be a funeral service Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Reverend Kyle Schmidt and the Reverend Joe Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00pm- 2:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
