Dr. George Bauer

Dr. George Bauer, age 92, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at a local healthcare facility. Born on October 28, 1926  in Illinois to the late Lawrence and Emma Fester Bauer; he had spent 35 years in Panama City, Florida before moving to Cleveland three years ago.  Dr. Bauer was retired from the Niles School District in Chicago and was of the Catholic Faith.  He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his family.

  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Bauer; and their son, Gregory Bauer.

Survivors include four sons and daughters- in-law, Don and Karen Bauer of Cincinnati, Ohio, Paul Douglas and Liz Bauer of Cleveland, David and Laura Bauer of Cleveland, and Mark and Pam Bauer of Pine Mountain, Georgia; grandchildren, Adam Bauer  and Matt Bauer of Indianapolis; and Luke Bauer of Michigan; and a sister; Mary Hayes of Chicago.

Private family services will be held for Lois and George at a later date.
