David James Lovell

David James Lovell, 56, of Blairsville, Georgia passed from this life on Sunday, July 21, 2019. He was born June 8, 1963 in Keokuk, Iowa to James R. Lovell and Phyllis L. Parks Lovell. David was an avid fisherman and once won a bass boat in a fishing tournament. He loved waterskiing and enjoyed being on a waterskiing team. He also enjoyed golf, and when he got a hole-in-one as per golfing tradition, he bought everyone a drink afterwards. David was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis L. Parks Lovell.

Survivors include his father, James R. Lovell; sister, Lynda Lovell Turner (Joel); girlfriend and love-of-his-life, Dana Lavigne and her children, Payton and Leeland Lavigne; niece, Alanis Lovell Gougler; children, Schuyler and Kayli Lovell, many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and friends.

A Celebration of Life service in Blairsville, Georgia will be announced at a later date.

David loved animals, and especially dogs. In honor of his memory, donations may be made to the Humane Society’s Mountain Shelter, P.O. Box 1252, Blairsville, Georgia 30514.
