Charles "Charlie" Joseph Lupo

Charles “Charlie” Joseph Lupo, 61, of Cleveland, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, after fighting a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.  He passed with his loving wife of 20 years, Joanie Lupo, by his side. 

Charlie was born and raised in Louisiana before making Cleveland his home.  He graduated from Lee University and attended seminary school before opening his well-known business, Import Service Center.

He was a dedicated and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.  He was a family man and especially embraced his role as a grandfather to Isaac, Gabriella and Colin Turner.  Charles was a man of faith in Jesus Christ and attended McDonald Methodist Church.  During his life he volunteered as a missionary locally, as well as completing Honduras missions. He enjoyed spreading his love of Jesus and helping others in need.

Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Lupo.

His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife, Joanie Lupo, daughters, Ladah’ Turner and Emily Lupo; son-in-law, Timothy Turner; step-daughter, Jaclyn Beckler; grandchildren, Isaac, Gabriella and Colin Turner; his dear mother, Mildred Lupo; mother-in-law, Martha Bostic; sisters, Bella Pechon and Virginia Zimmerman; and brothers, Lenny, Johnny, Tommy and Patrick Lupo.

Due to the current government restrictions the service will be a private celebration of Charlie’s life and will be live-streamed at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2020 with Pastors Mark Barber and David Sulcer officiating.  We are making his service available for you to view on our Facebook page during the service time or at a later date.

A private interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
