Bonnie Jean Finnel, 96, passed away on the evening of Wednesday, August 4, 2021 leaving behind many family, friends and loved ones to cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lindy Wright; eight siblings and her loving husband of 32 years, Joe.
Born in Tarrant City, Alabama, July 29 1925, and raised in Reliance, Polk County, she attended Greasy Creek Baptist Church as a child and Polk County High School. She graduated from Bradley Central High School in 1947 and was a member of Galilee Baptist Church at the time of her passing. Bonnie was a devoted Christian student, wife and mother her whole life, and was fond of saying, “The Lord has been very good to me.”
Left behind to mourn her passing are her four sons, Jerry, Joseph Jr. (Genevieve), Jeffrey, and Mitchell, and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice, the Home Health nurses that assisted in her final care, and the many members of Galilee Baptist Church for their prayers and visitations in her final days.
The family will receive friends at Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 8, 2021. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. at Lebanon Laurel Hill on Monday, August 9, 2021, officiated by Rev. Don Ramsay.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a favorite charity or church, and is appreciated.
