Carroll DJ Norris, Jr.

Carroll Elwin “DJ” Norris, Jr. , age 66, of Philadelphia passed away at his residence on Sunday January 31, 2016. He was the son of the late Carroll Elwin Norris, Sr. and Gertrude Norris.   He was a native of Maine and had spent the last 25 years in Tennessee. He owned and operated “The Shack” restaurant in Niota and previously worked at Crazy Ed’s. He is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp and a longtime member and Elder at Blue Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Christopher Norris and a sister Patty Norris.

He is survived by this wife of 25 years, Susan Norris of Philadelphia; children, Chad Norris of Loudon, Elizabeth Witt and husband Billy of Madisonville, James Klein and wife Tiffany of Kingston, TN., Keith Norris and fiancée Sara of Kingston, Josh Klein and wife Tiffany of Kingston and Corey Klein of Atlanta, GA.; Five grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Noble, Mia, Evan, and Elijah; and one sister Evelyn Ellis of Farmington, Maine.

A Memorial Service will be held at Blue Springs Baptist Church on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 5 p.m. with Pastor Bill Woody officiating.
