Brenda Louise Brown

Brenda Louise Brown, age 64, of Englewood, passed away at Starr Regional Medical Center-Etowah Campus on Sunday morning, April 17, 2016. She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County. She is of the Baptist Faith.

She was an avid Beatles fan, and enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and puppies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Andrew Brown and Bonnie Louise Sisson Brown; two brothers, Kenneth Brown and James Larry Brown; one sister, Katherine Nunnelly; Son, Gary Brown; one great grandchild, Brilee Buckner.

She is survived by five children, Roger (Ginger) Buckner of Riceville, Lisa (Maximo) Ortiz of Athens, Michael (Stephanie) Buckner of Athens, Robin Harden of Pikeville, and Kevin Brown; six grandchildren, Roger Buckner, Jr., Joshua Scott Buckner, Haylee Kay Buckner, Miranda Justine Ray, William Buckner, and Alexandria Harden; one great grandchild, Addison Buckner. Brenda has one sister, Billie Carroll (Michael) Hanselman of Springfield, IL; two brothers, Ronnie (Farrell Celina) Brown and Gary Raymond Brown both of Englewood. There are several other extended family members, nieces and nephews also surviving.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Etowah with Brother Johnny Hope officiating.

Interment will be Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunrise Cemetery in Englewood.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the funeral service.
