David “Red Dog” Dennis, age 56, of Etowah, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016, at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church. A 1980 graduate of McMinn Central High School, He was a member of the wrestling team and football team.  David enjoyed fishing, boating, spending time with his animals, his cars, and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Reed Dennis.

Survivors include his daughters, Amanda Frase and husband Donald of Etowah and Bailey Moore of Cleveland; granddaughters, Angel Pierce, Alexis Frase and Alivia Frase of Etowah; mother, Ruth Dennis Bowers of Etowah;  brother, Sam Dennis of Etowah, and special friend, Chrissy Fugett of Delano. Several extended family members and numerous   good friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life and Home going for David “Red Dog” Dennis will be held at 1:30p.m.Thursday, August 25, 2016 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Reverend Floyd Boggess and Dr. John Powers officiating. Interment will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. A white Dove Release Ceremony will conclude the services.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 1:30p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at the funeral home.
