Lisa Renee Gibson

Lisa Gibson age 54, of Sweetwater, passed away Monday morning, October 31, 2016, at Sweetwater Nursing and Rehab Facility. Born in Loudon County  on June 19, 1962, to the late  Nyler” Lazy Tom” and Lynis Marie Mitchell Thompson, She spent a majority of her life in Monroe County and was  charter member of New Harvest Worship Center Church of God.  Lisa never met a stranger and loved meeting people, loved ford mustangs, and loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Faith Smallwood.

 She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 23 years, Robert L.Gibson; children, Eric Gibson and wife Allison of Sweetwater, Amanda Gibson of Vonore, and Sarah Smallwood of Johnson City ; grandchildren,  Lynzie, Austin , Diego, Tony, Shawn, Emily, and Hannah; siblings, Wanda Gail  Pinyon  and husband Edward of Goose Creek, South Carolina, Barbara Templeton of Tullahoma, Ricky  Mitchell  and wife Audrica of Loudon, Karen  Lane and husband Randy  of Lenoir City, and  Euretha Geraldine Thompson  Nix of Sweetwater. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.

A Celebration of Life and Home going for Lisa Gibson will be held at 7p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2016 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Brother Ronnie McDowell officiating.  Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends from 5-7p.m. on Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
