Ronald Clark Young

Ronald “Ronnie” Clark Young, age 70, of Etowah passed away early Tuesday morning, November 22, 2016 at UT Medical Center in Knoxville.   He is a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County and a longtime member of New Bethel Baptist Church.   Ronnie was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, & spending time with his family & working with his good friends , The Mennonites. 

He is preceded in death by  his parents, Clark and Agnes Bates Young;  one sister, Jean Bledsoe, and two brothers David & Doug Young. 

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Janna Duckett Young;  four daughters, Wanda Sue Young of Etowah, Janna Denice Jones (Tim) of Tellico Plains, Helen Melissa Young of Etowah, and Stacey Reona Harris (John) of Etowah; one brother Michael Curtis Young of Etowah and one sister Debra Lynne McWilliam of Dayton; seven grandchildren , Reona Donise Wampler (Randall), Diamond Star Young, Ronald Atlas Jones, Alexis Faith Smith, April Diane Katherine Young,  Kendra Quinn Workman and Erin Raine Harris,  and one great grandchild, Sabrina Faye Wampler.

Graveside services will be held at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 1 p.m.  Family members will serve as active pallbearers and The Mennonites will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Military Honors will conclude the services.

There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
