Richard Charles Perkinson

Richard Charles Perkinson, age 62 of Etowah, passed away on Saturday , November 26, 2016, at his residence. Born on January 2, 1954 to the late William Charles and Mae Emma Sims Perkinson, he was a lifelong resident of McMInn County and a 1972 graduate of McMInn Central High School. He served his country during Vietnam as a member of the United States Navy.   He loved fishing, hiking, and spending time outdoors.  He had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with his family and was a proud papa to his grandchildren.

 Survivors include his daughters, Tara Johnson and husband Darrin of Etowah, Amanda Andrews of Nashville; grandchildren, Savannah Jewell Johnson, Trinity Celeste Johnson, Autumn Nichole Johnson, Madison Thomas, Trey Andrews, and Miley Andrews; great-granddaughter, Maicy Johnson; and sister,Lynette Sanchez of Reno, Nevada.

At Mr. Perkinson’s request there will be a private family memorial service held at a later date.
