Lonel "Dan" Lee Daniels

Dan Daniels , age 78, of Athens, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens. Born on March 8, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Don and Helen Marples Daniels, he had lived the past 21 years in McMinn County  after living  20 plus years in Florida. He retired as a CSI Investigator for Santa Rosa County, Florida and was of the Baptist faith.

 In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Mickey and Al Stowe.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Nell Daniels of Athens; son, Billy Daniels of Athens; grandchildren, Brandi Nicole Daniels; Kyle Lee Daniels and wife Torrie;  and great-grandchildren, Elijah, Ja’Zion, Alakia, and Braylee.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
