Franklin Delano King

December 14, 1935 — February 21, 2017

Frank King, age 81 of Englewood passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Etowah Healthcare . He was a native of McMinn County and lived the majority of his life in Atlanta, GA before retiring and moving back to Etowah.  Frank served his country in the United States Marine Corps; retired from CSX Railroad and enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.  

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin F. King and Beatrice Hensley King; two brothers, David King and Benjamin King, Jr.; and one sister, Marie Coleman.

 Frank is survived by two sisters, Mary Ruth Jones of Etowah and Sue Vaughn of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews and other extended family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home.

 Graveside services will be held 11a.m. Friday, March 24, 2017 at McMinn Memory Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. prior to the funeral service in the chapel.
