Brodie Noel Weir, Jr.

Brodie Noel Weir, Jr., age 77 of Athens, TN, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare of Cleveland.  A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County,   he was of the Baptist Faith and was retired Conductor with CSX Railroad after 28 years of service.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Brodie Noel Weir, Sr, and Lorraine Jones Daugherty and one brother, Wayne Stephens.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Judith Dickson Weir, two children, Steven Weir (April Walden Weir) of Athens, and Kristal Weir Pettis (Brian Pettis) of Sevierville; two grandchildren, Cody Weir of Murfreesboro and Chelsey Weir of Athens; Siblings, Larry Weir, Dianna Williams, Don (Sandra) Stephens, and Matthew (Benji) Stephens; one sister-in-law Betty Stephens; and  one brother-in-law James Dickson.  Also surviving are several nieces , nephews, and other extended family.

At the request of Mr. Weir, there will be no formal services held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
