Lissie Yvonne Jones

Lissie Jones, age 73, of Athens, passed away on Sunday evening at Etowah Healthcare. Born on April 20. 1944 in West Virginia to the late James and Yvonne Fisher Jones, she had lived in Arizona and Chicago and spent around thirty years in Athens.
Her passions in life were music, helping others, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Paul Timothy Vaughn; and sixteen siblings.
She is survived by her children and spouses, Esther and Nelson Webb of Athens and Stephen and Amy Vaughn of Englewood; four grandchildren, Sarenda Vaughn, Bryant Webb, Allison Webb, Hannah Vaughn; and a great-grandchild, Jordin Taylor. Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.
A gathering of friends will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, evening from 5-7 p.m in the funeral home chapel. The family will hold a private service at a later date.
