Carolyn Jeanette Rowland

Jeanette Millsaps Rowland, age 63, of Etowah passed away at Parkwest Medical Center on Tuesday, December 12, 2017.  She was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, and was a Member of Coghill Baptist Church.  Jeanette loved fishing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Sam Millsaps, Jr and Lou Alice Henderson Millsaps and one sister Eva Jean Hicks.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, Don Rowland of Etowah; one child, Michael Stansbury of Etowah, and two step-sons, Jonathan Rowland of Athens, and Donald Rowland of Florida; one granddaughter and one great grandchild; four brothers and spouses, Alvin Millsaps and wife Debbie of Niota, Ross Millsaps and wife Judy of Niota, David Millsaps and wife Pam of Niota, Jerry Millsaps and Helen of Athens; one sister, Debbie Elsec and husband Bronnie of Riceville; one sister in law, Geraldine Dockery of Etowah; one brother in law David Rowland of Etowah and several nieces and nephews. 

Graveside service will be Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 12 noon at the Coghill Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Joe Hatcher officiating.

The nephews will serve as pallbearers. 

There will be no formal visitation.
