Robert Lee Partain

Mr. Robert Lee Partain, age 87, of Athens, passed away at a local facility on March 18, 2018.  He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County and longtime member of Double Springs Baptist Church.  He had been a past employee of the Athens Stove Foundry, before retirement and was graduated from the Claxton High School in 1950.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Raymond and Mary Thompson Partain; sisters, Betty Partain Teague, Iona Davis, Jill Smith, and Orlean Shoemaker; brother, Marion “M.C.” Partain; and one sister-in-law, Doris Jamerson Partain.

Survivors include one brother, Lewis Ross Partain; one brother-in-law Austin Teague, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Double Springs Baptist Church cemetery with Reverend Chris Taylor officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 22, 2018 beginning at 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
