Barbara Irene Swafford

  Barbara Morgan Swafford, age 70 of Etowah, passed away on Sunday morning, April 8. 2018 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.    Born in Idaho on September 3, 1947 to the late Arlen and Zelma Reagel Morgan, she had lived in McMinn County since 2001 and was a member of Athens Church of Christ. She loved motorcycles, painting, stitching and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Paul Swafford and several siblings.

She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Ron Swafford of Etowah, children, Authur (Sheri) Rousseau of Deatsville, Alabama, Katherine (Ryan) Swank of Hartsville, South Carolina, Andrea ( Jeremy ) Stuart of Seattle, Washington, April Carlson, Dayton, Ohio, Andrew Waller  of Battle Creek, Michigan, and Jamie Hunt of Athens; sisters, Gayle Wallo of  Seattle, Washington, Theresa Shirk of Twin Falls, Idaho, Leita Moore, of Bend, Oregon; fourteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services will be held at 1p.m.  Friday, April 13, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Minister Mark Littleton officiating.  Interment will follow in Smyrna Cemetery in Dayton.

The family will receive friends from 11a.m. until the time of service.
