Kristie Marie Best

 Kristie Marie Smith Best, age 48 of Tellico Plains, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at her daughter’s home.  Born in Michigan, she had lived the majority of her life in East Tennessee and attended Outreach Across America Church in Madisonville. She loved the outdoors, animals, old cars and spending time with her family and friends.

 Kristie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Georgina and Russell Collins; and paternal grandparents, Myrtle and Burdette Smith.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Thomas Turner of Philadelphia, Tabatha and Matthew Wilhoit of Greenville, Tennessee; father, Wayne and Jane Smith of Tellico Plains; mother, Patty Smith of  Michigan;  grandchildren, Elixus, Abagail, Addison, Joseph, Mattalyn; sister, Brenda and Keith Fabrizio of Madisonville and brother,  Pastor Jody and Amy Shcroeder of Sweetwater.

 A Celebration of Life and Home going for Kristie  will be held at 5p.m. Monday, May 21, 2018  from First Baptist Church of Tellico Plains with Pastor Jody Schroeder officiating.

 The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be considered for the Monroe County Humane Society.
