Daniel Kent Murphy

Daniel Kent Murphy, age 47, passed away at Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens on Monday, June 25, 2018.  A native of Plymouth, Massachusetts, he had lived in Decatur, TN for several years. 

He was a loving husband, father and “Dan Paw”.  He was preceded in death by his parents, father, Robert A. Murphy and mother, Nancy E. Murphy.

Survivors include Searetha R. Murphy; five sons, Justine (Cassie) Merrell, Andrew (Amanda) Lankford, Adam Murphy, Zachary Murphy, and Joshua Murphy; two daughters, Ashley Murphy Henze and Shaetha (Bradley) Cline; two brothers, David McMaster and William Murphy; one sister, Debbie (Mark) Crothers, and brother and sister-in-law, R.L. and Misty Letner; seven very special grandchildren, Mianna, Bentley, Gianna, Dakota, Hunter, Haley and Samantha, along with other extended family and friends.

There will be no formal services at this time.
