James David Dills

  James “David” Dills, age 59, of Tellico Plains, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at his residence.  Born in McMinn County on February 7, 1959, he had lived in Illinois for twenty years before spending the last twenty years in Tellico Plains.  David was an avid cook and loved spending time with his family especially his two sons.

 He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Moses Dills; and a brother, Danny Ray Dills.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Dills of Tellico Plains; sons, Jeremiah (Nicole) Dills of Athens and James Leo Dills of Athens; grandchildren, Leo Dills, Karrington Dills, and Makenzie Upton; father, James Lester Dills of Englewood; brothers, Tommy (Linda) Dills of Illinois and Joey (Kim) Dills of Englewood; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

 A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Conasauga Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00a.m. – 10:45a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
