C.M. "Mike" Barnes

 C.M. “Mike” Barnes, age 69, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.  Born on December 24, 1948 in Athens to the late Gene and Blanche Cantrell Barnes, he spent the majority of his life in Cleveland and was of the Baptist Faith. Mike was a Vietnam veteran serving his country in the Marine Corps. He was an avid collector and enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.

 In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Bobbi Key.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Janice Tuggle Barnes; daughters, Shae ( Stacy) Greene of Cleveland and Jessica ( Lucas Nunn) Barnes of Cleveland; grandchildren, Tucker Greene, Olivia Greene, and Violet Nunn; sister, Brenda Glass of Cleveland; and brother Pat (Pam) Barnes; as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.

 A Gathering of Friends and family will be held from 4-6p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Serenity of Etowah Funeral Home.
