Byrl Combs

Byrl Combs, age 93, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Friday, December 25, 2009, in a local hospital. He was retired from Aeronica Corporation in Middleton, Ohio. He and his wife moved to Cleveland in 1991 from Lebanon, Ohio. He was a member of Westmore Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brownlow and Jemimah Combs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Georgia Olema Blevins Combs; daughter and son in law, Karen and Bill Archer all of Cleveland, TN; one son, Douglas Combs, Sr., Springfield, VA; sister, Thelma Hebner, Phoenix, AZ. Grandchildren, Casey, Evan and Courtney Archer, Cleveland, TN and Douglas Combs, Jr., Springfield, VA.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Pastor Wendell Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Dr. Daniel Black, Rev. Sam Wills, Ryan Wills, Joe Nelson, Ben Nelson, Tom Cloud, Wade Melton and Jamie McPherson serving as pallbearers.
