Alma Kelley

Alma Ann Kelley, age 74, resident of Ooltewah, TN, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday morning, December 17, 2009. She passed away in a Chattanooga hospital with her loving family by her side. She was a member of the Mountain Meadows Church of God in Ooltewah. She was well known for her incredible talents of singing and playing the piano and she was an accomplished gospel recording artist. She was a loving wife, mother and "mom mom", standing beside her husband, B. L., for 54 years in ministry in the Church of God. She was a mother, mamma to so many. She was very passionate about missions and helping those without. She was an ambassador of hope and love with compassion to the hurting. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. T. L. Forester and Ruth Bernice Summers Forester.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. B. L. Kelley; son, Patrick L. Kelley; daughter and son in law, Susan D. and Johnnie W. Rodgers; brother and sister in law, James R. and Shirley A. Forester; 2 precious grandchildren, Joshua J. Rodgers and Austin L. Rodgers and 2 great grandchildren, Lexi and Paris. A host of friends also survive.

A Celebration of the Life and Home Going of Alma Kelley will be held Monday, December 21, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain Meadows Church of God in Ooltewah, TN with the Rev. Kevin Wallace and Dr. Larry and Jan Timmerman officiating. Interment will follow in Tennessee/Georgia Memorial Park with Josh Rodgers, Austin Rodgers, Josh Guyselman, Buddy Barns, Eddie Trotter, Randy Slegl, Danny Kelley and Donny Kelley serving as pallbearers.
