Ray McCracken, 71, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday evening, August 31, 2006 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired brick mason. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Arthur and Nellie Kimsey McCracken; and two brothers, Paul McCracken and Russel McCracken.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth McCracken of Cleveland; two sons and daughters in law, Bruce and Colleen McCracken of Auburn, Maine, and David and Darlene McCracken of Cleveland; two daughters and sons in law, Lisa and Greg Gibson and Susan and Courtney King, all of Cleveland; four brothers, Jacob Reuben McCracken of Union Grove, AL, Doyle McCracken, Bobby McCracken, and James McCracken, all of Cleveland; four sisters, Ruth Thompson of Cleveland, Bonita Mart of Piscataway, NJ, Amy Coker and Faye Wagner, both of Cohutta, GA; ten grandchildren, Kaila McCracken, Ian McCracken, Ashley McCracken, Miranda McCracken, Alexandria McCracken, John McCracken, Jennifer Hall and husband Josh, Sara Gibson, Joshua King and Megan King; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Sunday at 5 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. J. Kenneth Mart officiating. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shepherds Chapel, P. O. Box 416, Gravette, Arkansas 72736.
