Jean Marie Schrecengost

June 28, 1931 — December 21, 2015

 Jean M. (Gina) Schrecengost, age 84, passed away on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 15, 2015. peacefully of natural causes in her room at North Cleveland Towers in Cleveland Tennessee. 

Jean M Schrecengost was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, on 6/28/31.  She was the daughter of Ralph Martorelli and Helen Gulish. 

Spending the majority of her adult life in Saxonburg Pa, Jean was a dedicated Florist retiring in 2001 from the Flower Shop in Saxonburg Pa.  Since her retirement, Jean spent her retired years with family moving to Wyoming, and Illinois before settling in Cleveland Tennessee.  Jean was a skilled florist but also had interest in baking, sewing, knitting, making jewelry and one of her favorite activities of ordering items from the home shopping network. 

In her final years, Jean spent time with her friends Kathy Haist and Pat Hogan and was very involved her church, First United Methodist Church. She was a member of Veva Thompson’s Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women’s group and Gadabouts.   Jean was known for her positive outlook on life and her willingness to always want to help everyone.  Whether it was cooking, baking, or making them a scarf, Jean was always trying to take care of those around her.  She will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

Jean is survived by her Children; Sandra Bouch, Richard D Schrecengost and Daughter in Law Michele D Schrecengost, Grandchildren; Thomas Bouch, Timothy Bouch and Laurie Bouch Great Grand Children; Taylor Bouch, Abigail Rose Schrecengost  and Maggie Bouch

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, located at 3425 Ocoee Street, Cleveland, TN. with Reverend Pat Hogan officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Narthex.   Jean’s cremains will be scattered in the site of the future Memory Garden at First United Methodist Church.
