Oscar William Soule

December 9, 1915 — February 12, 2016

 

Oscar William Soule, age 100, passed away February 12, 2016, at his residence.  He was formerly of Berrien Springs, Michigan, but lived the majority of his last 25 years in Rhea County.   Oscar was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith and spent many years in Guatemala and Honduras serving as a missionary.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Agnus Ferney Soule, and his parents, Clifford Eugene Soule, and Mary Elizabeth Barr Soule; daughter, Lila M. Poff, son, Linden O. Soule; sisters; Mable Marsh, Ruth Sykes, Bertha Cole, Tillie St. Croix;  and brother, Edmond Soule.

Survivors include: his daughters, Miriam J. Yost, Carole M. Goodson; his sons, Duane C. Soule, Brian R. Soule; fifteen grandchildren: Pam Poff, Henry Soule, Julie Booth, Deryle Poff, Ronda Eberly, John Mike Yost, Vincent Wooden, twins, Clifford Poff and Charles Poff (deceased), Arvetta Ianico, John David Miller, Vanessa Altiman, Freddy Poff, Edward Soule, Nancy Riley, also many friends in Michigan, Tennessee, Honduras, and Guatemala.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 4:30 at the Village Chapel, 131 McDonald School Rd, McDonald, TN  37353.
