Robert Wayne Cooke

Robert Wayne Cooke, age 88, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016.

He was a retired Baptist minister as well as a retired school teacher.  He was also a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 61 years, Marion Cooke; his parents, Edward and Jessie Cooke. 

Survivors include his children and their spouses; Wayne (Jane) Cooke of Pennsylvania, Cheryl Cooke (Milan) Sivacek of Murfreesboro, TN, Ruth (Dwayne) Sherland of Huntington, NY and Tim (Debbie) Cooke of Cleveland; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one brother, Richard Allen Cooke.

His family will receive friends Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Grissom Serenity Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life immediately following in the chapel of the funeral home at 7 p.m. with Pastor Jamie Work officiating.

Grissom-Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Candies Creek Academy, 294 Old Eureka Rd, Charleston, TN 37310.
