Robert J. Whitledge

Robert J. Whitledge, 85, a resident of Cleveland, passed away at his home Tuesday, August 2, 2016.

Robert sang in a barbershop champion quartet which he loved.  Another great love was his family. He was a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Sally; his children, Valerie (Roben) Heethuis of Michigan, Lori (Matt) Brunsman of Ohio, Victoria Fox of Michigan and Gregory (Angela) Otis of Ohio; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Maudell Sudol of Michigan.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Candies Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie Work and Pastor Stan Gibson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Barbershop Harmony Society, 110 7th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37203-3704.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Hospice of Chattanooga for their kindness and the loving care they took of Robert.
