Carolyn R Payne

Carolyn R. Payne, age 68, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at her residence. She was of the Baptist Faith.  She was known as “granny” and loved raising her children even to the point of adopting three of them. Her passion was babysitting her great grandchild, Liza Payne.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William C. Payne Sr.; her parents, Woodrow Miller and Mae Miller; three brothers, Jimmy Miller, Glen Miller and Buddy Miller and one sister, Jeanette Underwood.

 
She is survived by her six sons; Charlie Payne of Nashville, TN., Tony Griggs (Dianna Webb) of Cleveland, TN., Billy Payne Jr of Texas, Damian Payne (Jessica Koobs) of Cleveland, TN., Steven Payne Obregon (Spouse-Carmen) of Cleveland, TN, and Jimmy Griggs of Cleveland, TN.;  two daughters, Elisabeth Payne and Yelonda Cheatham (Billy-spouse) both of Cleveland, TN.; one great-Grandchild, Liza Payne; three sisters, Charlotte Sipes, Cathey Author and Patsy Sipes; and several nieces and nephews.
