Linda Fay Bevis Merz was born March 17, 1944 in Athens, TN. She was raised in Calhoun, TN and lived most of her life in Cleveland, TN.  She passed away in Cleveland peacefully at 5:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 after a long life filled with love, joy, hardships, lots of Faith, and a short walk with Pancreatic Cancer. 

Linda was proceeded in death by her parents, Grady and Hazel Bevis; grandparents, Edgar and Eugenia Walker; and step-son James Merz.

She temporarily leaves behind a loving husband, Reinhard (Ron) Joseph Merz; Son, Donald Andrew (Andy) Osment & special friend Kim Humberd; Daughters & Sons-in Laws, Donna & Denny Hughes, Julie & Trent Redmond; Step Daughter and Step Sons, Lori & Tony Smith, Peter and Tammy Merz and Chris Merz.  She also leaves behind precious grandchildren, Elizabeth “Hope” Mooney, Parker Redmond, Lara Redmond & Elli Hughes, Brittany Merz, Alex Curry, Stephen Curry, Pierson & Amber Merz, Jett Smith and Avery Smith; Beloved sisters, twin Glenda Kay Bevis Sharp and Sara Bevis Williams (& Ray).  Nieces, Angie MacArthur, Katie Greer and Rachel Southerland and Nephew Stacy Sharp. Several Great Nieces and Nephews, cousins, and friends and very large Church Family at First United Methodist Church in Cleveland, TN. 

Linda was an active member of her church, with many years of service. She led a Body Recall exercise class for 7 years, and could perform a mean Chicken Dance!  She had a funny sense of humor and loved to laugh.  She will be missed. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made in Linda’s honor to Grace Works (a mission outreach program at First United Methodist Church) 3425 N Ocoee ST. Cleveland, TN. 37312

A Celebration of Life will be held at First United Methodist on May 6th, 2017 at 1 o’clock.  Bright Colors and happy memories are welcome! Mourning and tears should be left at home.
