Florence (Hula) Elemia McKinney

Florence (Hula) Elemia McKinney, age 79, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at a local hospital.  She was a veteran of the United States Army and was a survivor of Pearl Harbor in 1941. She was retired from Whirlpool (Maytag/Magic Chef) 

She is preceded in death by her husband Glover L. McKinney; parents, Maximo and Felomina Elemia; siblings, Ernest Badayos, Mary Namocot, Manuel Badayos, Macaria Katherine Aiello, Darlene Goldsworthy, and Fredrico Badayos.

She is survived by her children, David McKinney (Diane), of Mary Esther, Florida, Patrick McKinney (Donna Gurnas), Curtis McKinney (Judy), Michael McKinney, Donna Morrison (Loren Howard), all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Andrea Sorenson (Jeff), Steven McKinney, Patrick McKinney Jr., Amber McKinney, Hanna McKinney, Christina Garren (Dave) and Roger Morrison; great grandchildren, Teresa Beck, Chloe Garren, Paige Garren, Kenneth Garren, Kyah Morrison and Kayden Morrison; siblings, Clara Sojot, Delores Elemia, Olive Moeller,  Pricilla Fuentes.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Serenity-Grissom Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery with military honors and a dove release.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 28, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
