Samuel Thomas Smith

Samuel Thomas “Tommy” Smith, 58, a resident of Charleston, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at an Athens long term care facility. 

He was born December 30, 1959 in Chattanooga, TN to Silas and Ruby Smith. 

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Silas and Ruby Wooden Smith; and brother, Kenneth E. Smith.

Survivors include his brother, Larry David Smith and wife, Debra, of Chickamauga, GA; sister, Shirley Diane McPhetridge and her fiancée Alan Moats, of Charleston, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be Monday, July 9, 2018 at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home with Pastor David O’Neal officiating.  Interment will be immediately following the service in the Lee Cemetery.

His family will receive friends from 12:00–3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Serenity of Cleveland Funeral Home prior to the service.
